Job Title: Marketing Assistant

Hours: Part-time, 15-20 hours/week

Location: Remote/San Francisco Bay Area; must have stable and reliable internet access. 

 

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing Assistant to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with a passion for marketing, excellent organizational skills, and a strong desire to contribute to the success of our non-profit organization. As a Marketing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting various marketing initiatives, with a focus on social media, content creation, and events.

 

Responsibilities:

Social Media & Content Creation:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create diverse and captivating content for social media platforms.
  • Assist in producing multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and infographics, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Monitor social media channels, engage with the audience, and respond to comments to foster community interaction.
  • Analyze social media metrics to evaluate campaign performance and provide data-driven recommendations for enhancement.
  • Support in planning, implementing, and refining paid advertising campaigns across multiple platforms, optimizing for maximum ROI.

 

Event Coordination:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing events, both virtual and in-person. 
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue/platform details and coordination of promotional materials.
  • Work closely with the team to create pre-event and post-event marketing materials.
  • Attend events to ensure smooth execution and gather content for social media. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (internships included) in social media management, event coordination, and content creation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, What’sApp, Linkedin, YouTube), content management systems and graphic design software and tools including Asana and Canva.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity and experience in spiritual, environmental, sustainability, social good or yoga studies or similar areas, preferably in dharmic studies – Jain, Hindu, Buddha, or Yoga traditions – would be perfect if one has an excellent working knowledge of Jain tradition. 
  • Addressable global markets: Jain community, and other communities like Vegan, animal rights, sustainability and environment, Yoga communities, and other related markets.
  • Remuneration is consistent with the current nonprofit market and outbound marketing skills, experience, location, etc. 
  • Will also receive access to all Arihanta Institute courses and programming for personal continued education purposes!
